Morocco-Belgium Joint High Committee to Meet in Rabat in 2023

Morocco and Belgium have decided to convene their joint high cooperation committee in Rabat in 2023 to strengthen further multiform partnership set between the two countries.

The decision was made during a virtual meeting held between Head of Govt. Aziz Akhannouch and Prime Minister Alexander De Croo.

Talks focused on the need to step up economic cooperation ties, trade and green business. The two Prime Ministers praised the excellent bilateral relations in justice and migration.

They also discussed Morocco’s regional leadership in renewable energies and incentives granted to foreign investors thanks to the newly adopted investment charter seeking to promote and attract more direct foreign investment.

During the meeting, Akhannouch hailed Belgium’s supportive stand of Morocco’s autonomy plan offered for the Sahara, describing the plan as serious and credible basis for reaching a lasting and peaceful resolution to the Sahara regional conflict.
