French high-end luxury fashion house Dior contemplates entering Egyptian market

French high-end luxury fashion house Dior is considering opening a shop in Egypt, reports say.

Ali Al-Musailhi, Egypt’s Minister of Supply and Internal Trade met Monday with the head of the Christian Dior International Fashion House Chirome Body, the delegated member of the company Pierre de Majoria, accompanied by the president and delegated member of Vimex (the parent company of the fashion house).

The two sides discussed Dior’s investment opportunities in the Egyptian market. The meeting also reportedly tackled the trade system in Egypt and the local market’s ability to accommodate the French company’s latest fashion lines.

Musailhi indicated that Egyptian market and its ability to absorb this style of international trade were reviewed in light of increasing the efficiency of the internal trade system in the country.

Musailhi added that the trade system in Egypt has been reviewed and measured the appetite of the Egyptian market in absorbing Dior products from modern fashion lines.
