About 30 global companies to open headquarters in Egypt

Some 29 global companies including Amazon and Microsoft agreed Thursday with the Egyptian government to open headquarters, as authorities expect the agreement to create more than 34 thousand new job opportunities for youth.

The agreements and contracts were signed with IT Industry Development Authority ETIDA.

Per the accords, the contribution of the 29 companies will add nearly $1 billion in revenue Annual Managers to Total Digital Exports of Egypt by 2025.

Egypt has many competitive advantages that are enhanced by its ability to achieve a global leadership in the field of the pledge industry due to its distinguished location, as well as the abundance of young staff with linguistic and digital skills, said Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology.

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology launched in February this year the Digital Pledge Industry Strategy (2022-2026). The strategy aims at doubling Egyptian exports of technology products and services.
