Morocco’s presence in World Cup extends beyond football

Morocco has lent Qatar a helping hand to secure the World Cup besides the contribution of its citizens in the artistic promotion of the event.

Some 6000 Moroccan security staff have travelled to Qatar to help the country ensure the World Cup takes place in best conditions. Qatar has also hired security officials from the US, the UK, Turkey and France.

Artistically, the opening ceremony was livened up with a Moroccan content and touch. It featured the performance of Light in the Sky, a single full of euphoric dance by Moroccan RedOne.

The single featured the participation of Moroccan singers including Nora Fatehi, Balqees, Rahma Riad and Manal.

A famous coke brand chose Marrakech for its World Cup which brought together mega football stars such as Messi, Neymar and Pogba.

Thousands of Moroccan fans in Doha have also set a nice example by collecting garbage after the end of their game with Croatia in a stadium dominated by Moroccans hoisting flags and celebrating their country.
