WAFCON Morocco-2022, one of best editions ever organized – CAF President

President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe, said that the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), held in Morocco July 2 to 23, is one of the best editions organized by the African body.

“We can only be proud of the excellent CAN organized by the Kingdom of Morocco. This perfect and excellent organization of the women’s CAN shows, if need be, that in Morocco, and in Africa, we have the best soccer infrastructure in the world,” said Motsepe upon his arrival Sunday at the Rabat-Salé airport.

“I am very excited to attend the semi-finals on Monday and the final on Saturday, in addition to the CAF Awards ceremony, scheduled for July 21,” he added.

“I wish good luck to all the teams and may the best team win,” he added.

The CAF Chief actually attended the WAFCON semi-final between Morocco and Nigeria that propelled the Moroccan women’s football team to the final after they beat the Nigerians ((1-1, Pens 5-4).

The Moroccans will be opposed in the final, next Saturday, to the South Africans qualified earlier Monday at the expense of the Zambians (1-0).
