Moroccan Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah Alaoui, met, Wednesday in Rabat, with a delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) led by the Fund’s Deputy Managing Director, Antoinette Monsio Sayeh.

The meeting was an opportunity for Fettah Alaoui to exchange views with the IMF official on the national and international economic situation and cooperation relations between Morocco and the international financial institution.

Mrs. Sayeh’s visit is part of a series of communication actions held by the IMF in Morocco, the host country of the Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the IMF that will take place in Marrakech in October 2023.

It also comes in the context of the launch by the IMF of a working paper on the informal economy in the countries of the North African region that will be discussed at a roundtable jointly organized by the IMF, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the Mohammed V University in Rabat.
