Ukraine: RAM to operate special flights to repatriate stranded Moroccans

Morocco’s carrier Royal Air Maroc will service special flights to repatriate the Moroccans stranded in Ukraine.

In coordination with Moroccan authorities, the national company will operate these flights from neighboring countries of Ukraine, whose air space has been closed, at “exceptional” fares

“The company will schedule flights at exceptional prices from countries bordering Ukraine,” said the company in a statement. The prices are set at 750dh per ticket.

Initially, three flights will be operated on Wednesday March 2, departing from Bucharest (Romania), Budapest (Hungary) and Warsaw (Poland) to Casablanca at a fixed rate of 750 DH. These flights are exclusively reserved for Moroccans established in Ukraine and their family members, said RAM.

Tickets are available through the company’s website, call centers, and RAM agencies in Morocco and abroad.

As of Sunday, 436 Moroccans managed to flee from Ukraine towards the border crossings.
