U.S contracts Deloitte to research Libya’s oil sector

U.S administration has recently contracted for two assessments of the Libya’s oil sector recovery, Libya Observer reports, citing France-based investigative media Africa Intelligence.
The first assessment accounting for a first contract was commissioned on September 21 for an amount of almost $400,000 by the Interior Business Center (IBC), the federal government’s purchasing center – a choice that guarantees certain discretion to the identity of the commissioning administration.
The second contract, signed on September 28 and ordered by the State Department will relate more broadly to the hydrocarbons sector in Libya. The deal is valued at nearly $500,000.
The multinational professional services network company is very knowledgeable of Libya’s oil sector. The company, Libya Observer notes, was contracted by the oil-rich Africa country in 2020 to audit the accounts of the Central Bank of Libya based on a request by the international community.
The audit report was handed to the Libyan Prime Minister in July 2021, the Libyan media further notes.
