British mining giant Altus Strategies wins 4 copper exploration contracts in Morocco

London stock exchange listed company and mining giant Atlus Strategies will conduct four copper exploration projects in Morocco, the company said in a statement after winning the tender.

The competitive tender concerns Agoudim Silver Project (29.0 km2 and located 30 km east of the Imiter silver mine, operated by the Managem Group), Assif Silver & Gold Project (26.0 km2, 11 km southwest of the historical Tiouit gold mine, Anezal Base Metal Project (64.0 km2, 40 km northwest of the Bou Azzer cobalt mine, operated by the Managem Group) and Tazoult Silver Project (13.5 km2, 13 km east of the Zgounder silver mine, operated by TSX-V listed Aya Gold and Silver Inc).

“Our team is currently undertaking a systematic in-house remote sensing and mineral prospectivity program on the Projects, which incorporates the synthesis of satellite imagery with extensive historical exploration datasets. Our field teams will then follow up on the highest priority targets that are generated. I look forward to updating shareholders on the results of these programs in due course,” the company said in a statement.

With the four new projects, the British company’s Moroccan portfolio expanded to 14 projects, covering more than 800 km2. The company also won an extension of the Agdz II Copper-Silver Project, from 16.0 km2 to 75.7 km2.
