Morocco grants UK Altus Strategies new exploration licenses for copper & silver

Moroccan authorities have awarded UK Altus Strategies Company (ALS) three new copper and silver exploration projects after it engaged in a competitive tender process.

With these new projects, ALS increased its portfolio to seven base and precious metals projects in the Kingdom.

“We are delighted to gain three new copper and silver projects in Morocco. The Projects total 252 km2 and target sedimentary copper-silver mineralization, within the prospective western Anti-Atlas belt of Morocco”, said Altus CEO Steven Poulton.

The Altus engineers will carry out exploration works for copper-silver in Izougza site and for copper at Azrar and Tata sites.

The Oxford-based mining company, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange, is operating in several African countries including Mali, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Liberia…
