RAM launches direct Paris-Dakhla air route as of Feb. 12

Morocco’s carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced this Wednesday the launch, starting February 12, of a new direct air route between Paris and Dakhla.

This new air route will connect, for the first time, the European continent to the city of Dakhla, in less than 04h30, RAM said in a press releasen adding this link will strengthen and facilitate the connection between France, a major tourist emitting market, and Dakhla, a popular tourist destination.

Ram will operate two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The new route is operated in close collaboration with the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), which seeks to promote this significant tourist niche and revive the tourism sector, hard hit by the coronavirus pandemic.

“Royal Air Maroc has always accompanied Moroccan tourism. In these times of crisis, it is necessary to work together for the revival of this strategic sector for our country. This new direct line will allow international visitors to benefit from the city of Dakhla and the Moroccan experience from the moment they board in Paris,” President and CEO of RAM, Hamid Addou, was quoted as saying.
