Morocco’s Lesieur Cristal takes control of Avril’s activity in Africa

Morocco’s Lesieur Cristal, a company that produces cooking oil and soap, took control of Avril’s activity in Africa, following a merger-acquisition, by which the Moroccan company bought Senegal’s Oleosen.

In addition to Oleosen, which produces cooking oil, the Moroccan group took control of Cristal Tunisia which besides table oil also makes soap.

Lesieur Cristal has also acquired a permit to use the aforementioned brands across Africa.

Lesieur Cristal explained that this acquisition is part of its 2023 expansion plan and a launchpad for growth as it aims to boost its export capacity to Africa in the fields of cooking oils, olive oil, soap, butter and condiments.
