Japan lends Morocco $200 mln in aid
Japan has offered Morocco a loan of $200 million to back the coronavirus response program.
An agreement was signed in this regards between Morocco’s finance ministry and Japan’s international cooperation agency (JICA).
This loan aims at helping the government deal with the health, social and economic repercussions of the pandemic.
JICA has been operating in Morocco since 1976. Since then it has funded 37 projects worth 27 billion dirhams with the aim to promote development and curb disparities.
