Morocco tightens restrictive measures in Casablanca and surroundings
The government tightened anti-coronavirus restrictive measures in Casablanca and its surroundings after a surge in cases.
These measures include a curfew from 21:00 to 6:00, closing football pitches, shutting down cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and shops at 20:00 and stopping public transport at 21:00.
These restrictions will be implemented in Casablanca, Mohammedia, Berrechid and Ben Slimane starting on Sunday.
On October 23, Morocco had 3685 new cases with a total of 190,416 infections including 3205 deaths and 157,175 recoveries.
Covid medical beds occupancy rate reached 30.4% with 699 people in critical condition and 45 under invasive ventilators.
The country has renewed a health emergency decree until November 10.
