Covid-19: Korea & Global Care back Morocco’s response efforts
Korea International Cooperation Agency (Koica) and Global Care have unveiled a joint program aimed at supporting Morocco’s response to coronavirus pandemic and enhancing further the capacity and performance of Moroccan hospitals and health centers.
Under this 5-month cooperation program, Moroccan health facilities will receive medical equipment and personal protective gears for health care workers to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
The package also includes awareness campaign to help reduce the risk of infection with Covid-19 and the psychological management of stress and anxiety related to coronavirus.
According to experts, fear about this new disease can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in adults and children. Public health actions, such as social distancing, can make people feel isolated and lonely and can increase stress and anxiety.
The Koica cooperation program also includes a high-tech covid-19 tracing app to combat the spread of coronavirus and virtual scientific conferences to enable Moroccan experts and doctors benefit from Korea’s experience and medical technologies.
Morocco looks forward to tapping into all worldwide experiences, which have proven their efficiency in dealing with covid-19 pandemic particularly in prevention, immunization and vaccine manufacturing.
