Coronavirus hit Tangier premier league club
Twenty-three members of Ittihad Tangier, a first league soccer club, caught the coronavirus casting doubt on the team’s chances in the national and continental football competitions.
Tangier is already one of the most affected areas in Morocco where entry or exit is only allowed upon special permits.
Ittihad Tangier explained that 16 players are among the infected while the rest are staff and administrators.
The team is already in difficult condition at the bottom of Morocco’s premier league ranking.
On Sunday, total coronavirus cases in the country rose to 32,237 including 498 deaths and 23347 recoveries.
