Entrance to Morocco conditioned on coronavirus test
Moroccan nationals and foreign residents and their families can finally enter Morocco starting on July 15 provided they take a coronavirus test 48 hours in advance, the government said.
The same categories are also allowed to leave the country with students having to submit a special permission to authorities, the government said in a statement.
Morocco’s flag carrier RAM said it will organize trips in this regards and the government said that Morocco-bound ferries will be made available at the ports of Sete in France and Gene in Italy.
Morocco has resume domestic travel including through rail and air but kept its airports closed to international traffic.
The ban on international flights took a toll on tourism, which is yet to see light at the end of the Covid-19 tunnel.
Operators urged state assistance to keep infrastructure and jobs and be able to restart activity.
