Morocco’s agricultural exports to EU up 4% in 2019
Morocco’s agricultural exports to the EU grew 4% in 2019 to 1.4 million tons, the European Union’s statistics agency Eurostat reported.
The EU bought 859,095 tons of Moroccan vegetables and 533,065 tons of fruits, Eurostat said, noting that watermelons and oranges dominated Morocco’s fruit exports.
Spain topped the list of destinations for Moroccan fruits and vegetables.
Morocco and the EU are bound by a farm deal offering trade preferences for Moroccan products including those from the Sahara southern provinces.
