President Putin Welcomes Achievements of Russian-Moroccan Cooperation
Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed, on Wednesday, the continuing development of relations between his country and Morocco and highlighted the achievements made by the two countries’ cooperation in the political field as well as in the sectors of agriculture and economy.
President Putin made the remarks while receiving in the Kremlin Morocco’s new ambassador to Moscow Lotfi Bouchaara, who handed him his credentials.
“We have all the instruments to give a multidimensional impetus to these relations,” said President Putin, recalling the distinguished historical ties between the two countries.
The ambassador told MAP after the audience that Morocco and Russia, two ancient nations, which are both proud of their identity and their civilization, are bound by a deep strategic partnership.
He noted that the visit of King Mohammed VI to Moscow in 2016 gave a decisive impetus to bilateral relations and that economic exchanges are steadily increasing. “We must continue this work and give concrete substance to this partnership by deepening relations between our two countries,” said the diplomat.
The new ambassador called for diversifying this partnership by developing cultural, scientific, technological and tourist relations.
