King Mohammed VI Orders Repatriation of Moroccan Nationals from Wuhan Province
King Mohammed VI chaired, Monday at the Royal Palace in Rabat, a working session devoted to the situation of Moroccan citizens in the Chinese province of Wuhan, quarantined by the Chinese authorities because of the coronavirus, and ordered their repatriation, said the Royal Office in a statement.
About one hundred Moroccan nationals, mainly students, are currently in Wuhan province.
The Monarch also ordered that the necessary measures be taken at the level of air transport, appropriate airports and specific reception health infrastructures.
The King gave his instructions to the Head of Government and all the officials attending the working session to ensure adequate monitoring and coordination.
This working session took place in the presence of the Head of Government, Saad Dine El Otmani; the Royal Adviser Fouad Ali El Himma; the Minister of the Interior Abdelouafi Laftit; the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Moroccans living abroad Nasser Bourita; the Minister of HealthKhalid Ait Taleb; and Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie General Mohamed Haramou.
