Bilateral ties at heart of talks between Moroccan FM and US President’s Advisor
Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita and Jared Kushner Senior Advisor to US President Donald Trump discussed in Washington the longstanding Moroccan-US ties as well as a set of regional issues.
The two men examined means to advance ties and shared views on a set of regional issues of common interest at a meeting attended by Victoria Coates, Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor.
Bourita, who chaired the regular strategic dialogue with US Secretary of State Mile Pompeo, also met with Ivanka Trump, Senior Advisor to President Trump.
During the strategic dialogue, the US Secretary of State commended the leadership of King Mohammed VI and urged a closer cooperation to combat extremism in the region and counter the Iranian meddling as well as means to bolster economic cooperation.
