French NGE Company Wins $44 Mln Morocco Rail Deal

NGE, a major French construction & civil engineering group, has secured a $44 million contract part of the expansion of Morocco’s high-speed rail line between Kenitra to Marrakech.

The contract includes key infrastructure works supporting the extension of the high-speed train line. The French company will carry out earthworks and civil engineering activities, rail platform preparation and the supporting infrastructure, ensuring the smooth integration of the extension within the high-speed rail corridor.

This project is part of Morocco’s ambitious plan to expand its high-speed rail network beyond the existing Al Boraq line, enhancing connectivity between major economic hubs ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2030 the Kingdom is co-hosting with Spain and Portugal.

The Kenitra–Marrakech extension will reduce travel times across key cities, strengthen national rail infrastructure, boost tourism and regional economic development.

With the new contract secured in Morocco, NGE (New Generations of Entrepreneurs) enhances its footprint in rail infrastructure projects in North Africa, particularly in high-speed rail development.

Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Tarascon, France, the construction & civil engineering group employs over 25,000 people in over 20 countries around the world and its annual revenue exceeds €5 billion.
