Libyan airline MedSky resumed direct flights between Libya and France on Thursday, September 17, 2026, ending a suspension lasting more than 15 years. The airline launched a triangular route connecting Tripoli, Paris and Benghazi.
The inaugural flight departed Mitiga International Airport in Tripoli on Thursday morning and arrived at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport around midday before continuing to Benina International Airport in Benghazi.
The service provides direct connections to Paris for passengers travelling from Libya’s capital and the eastern city of Benghazi. Earlier in September 2026, the French Embassy in Libya welcomed the planned route, describing it as an important step towards strengthening bilateral relations and facilitating passenger travel.
