Head of the Moroccan government Saad Eddine El Othmani said on his facebook account that 8500 will travel from Morocco while 3000 members of the Moroccan diaspora will join them in support of the national squad.
El Othmani was on a stop in Russia on his way back to Morocco from a trip in South Korea.
Morocco was pitched in a difficult Group B with the last two European champions Spain and Portugal in addition to Iran.
