Morocco is participating in the Farnborough International Airshow 2026, which opened Monday in Farnborough (about 100 kilometers southwest of London) with the ambition of further strengthening its position as a leading global aerospace hub.
For the occasion, the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE) has unveiled the Morocco Pavilion, showcasing the country’s integrated and increasingly mature aerospace ecosystem.
The pavilion brings together leading industrial companies, innovative startups, the Moroccan Aerospace Industries Association (GIMAS), and the Casablanca Institute for Aeronautics Trades (IMA).
The Moroccan presence highlights the complementarity of the country’s expertise, the depth of its industrial capabilities, and the quality of its highly skilled workforce.
Morocco’s participation in the Farnborough International Airshow reinforces the Kingdom’s standing among the world’s leading aerospace hubs. It reflects the sustained momentum of a rapidly expanding sector driven by the enlightened Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which places industrialization, innovation, and skills development at the heart of Morocco’s economic transformation.
The continued confidence of major international aerospace companies, demonstrated through significant strategic investments, underscores the strength and competitiveness of Morocco’s value proposition. That proposition is built on widely recognized advantages, including the Kingdom’s political and economic stability, its strategic proximity to key markets, world-class infrastructure, a competitive industrial environment, and a deep pool of highly qualified talent supported by training programs aligned with international industry standards.
Over the past two decades, Morocco has developed a comprehensive aerospace ecosystem spanning the entire value chain, including precision machining, assembly, sheet metal fabrication, composite materials, electrical wiring, surface treatment, and maintenance. Today, the sector includes more than 155 companies, generates nearly $3 billion in exports, employs more than 25,000 highly skilled workers, has achieved a 42% local integration rate, and has recorded an average annual growth rate of 17%.
Several high-level meetings with leading international aerospace stakeholders are scheduled on the sidelines of the airshow, covering the full aerospace value chain and aimed at fostering the next generation of strategic partnerships.
These discussions are intended to promote the strengths of Morocco’s industrial platform, identify new opportunities for cooperation, and catalyze high-value investment projects. They are part of a broader strategy to deepen Morocco’s integration into future aerospace, space, and defense programs.
