The U-17 Africa Cup of Nations 2026, currently held in Morocco, has reached its decisive last-four stage scheduled for May 28. The Atlas Cubs, Defending Champions, will play against Senegal, while Egypt will face Tanzania.
The two semi-final matches will be played at Moulay El Hassan Stadium, Rabat. All four semi-finalists had already secured qualification for the FIFA U-17 World Cup by reaching the quarter-finals.
Host Morocco made it to the next round of the tournament after 1-0 win over Cameroon at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Salé. Mohamed Habib Zinbi scored the only goal of the match in the 17th minute. In the semi-final, they will now face Senegal, who survived a red card, a late Mali equalizer and a penalty shootout to reach the last four. Senegal defeated Mali 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
Tanzania continued their remarkable campaign by beating Algeria 4-3 on penalties after a thrilling 3-3 draw. They will face Egypt, who trounced Côte d’Ivoire 4-1.
The final of U17 AFCON 2026 is scheduled for June 2, while the losing semi-finalists will play the third-place match on June 1.
