Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency completes food baskets distribution operation, continues meals distribution in Al Quds
The Rabat-based Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency completed, on Friday in Al-Quds, the distribution operation of food baskets to the benefit of nearly 2200 needy families.
The operation was conducted part of the humanitarian aid sent to Palestinians in Al-Quds and Gaza during Ramadan, at the instruction of King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee.
The operation was carried out in collaboration with various institutions in the Holy City, including the Al-Quds Governorate, the Al Aqsa Mosque Waqf and Affairs Circle, and the Directorate of Education and Teaching.
Teams working with Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency continue to distribute meals at an average rate of 1,000 per day to hospices in areas outside the wall, such as the Biddu and Al Judeira hospices, as well as the Qalandia, Beit Hanina Al Balad, and Al-Ayziria camps. Meals were also provided to worshipers at Al Aqsa Mosque whenever security conditions permitted.
Meals were also distributed to residents of the Ahl Gaza reception center in Al-Ayziria, as well as to orphanages and retirement homes in the same neighborhood. Daily meal distributions also extended to other localities such as Al-Ram, Issawiya, the Shu’afat and At-Tur camps, the old town, Sur Baher, Silwan, and the village of Nabi Samwil.
For Eid al-Fitr, the Agency plans to distribute 200 outfits to orphans under its care, and organize religious events featuring Quran recitations and panegyrics.
