Repatriation of Moroccan young girl who was with her mother in Iraqi Jail
A Moroccan girl, who was held with her mother in an Iraqi prison, was repatriated to Morocco this Monday on humanitarian grounds to enable the little girl to grow up in a healthy environment.
The announcement was made by the Inter-ministerial Delegation for Human Rights (DIDH), a government body. The move comes in response to the requests made by the little girl’s family with her mother’s consent.
During her journey back home, the little girl was accompanied by her aunt and a social worker, said the DIDH thanking the Iraqi authorities for releasing the young Moroccan girl.
The Moroccan authorities have taken all necessary measures to provide her with the necessary psychological, social, and educational support to ensure her reintegration into her new environment.
