Real Madrid’s coach “impressed” by the Mohammed VI Football Academy
Real Madrid’s Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti said on Friday he was “impressed” by the Mohammed VI Football Academy, the Whites’ training camp during the Club World Cup, which is being held in the cities of Rabat and Tangier (February 1 to 11).
“The training center of the Mohammed VI Football Academy is impressive”, said the Italian coach in statements to the media, one day before the final of the Club World Cup, which will take place between Real Madrid and the Saudi Al Hilal team, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah sports complex in Rabat on Saturday.
“Rabat is a very pleasant city, very beautiful and very clean. People are very respectful,” he praised, assuring that his team is “delighted to play in Morocco”.
“We are very happy (…) All the conditions are met, we just have to win on Saturday and win the title,” he insisted.
On the occasion of the World Cup for Champions Clubs, the official Real Madrid TV channel devoted a series of reports to the capital of the Kingdom, its tourist potential and its first-class sports infrastructure.
The Madrid team’s TV channel highlighted the infrastructure hosting the Mondialito, with a special mention for the Mohammed VI Football Academy and the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.
The people of Madrid, who ensured their qualification following their victory against Egyptian Al Ahly (4-1) in the semi-final, will meet in the final the Saudi Al Hilal, which won the Brazilians of Flamengo in the other semi-final.
The match for third place between Al Ahly FC and Flamengo will be played at the Grand Stade de Tanger also on Saturday.
