Sixty Guinean Security officers wrap up three-month training in Morocco

Sixty security officers from Guinea-Conakry graduated Thursday from Morocco’s Kenitra Royal Police Institute after three months of training on a range of subjects including use of science and modern technology in forensic research.

The graduation ceremony was attended by Guinean Minister of Security and Civil Protection Bachir Diallo.

The cohort of trainees included 30 inspectors and 30 police commissioners, among whom 9 women.

The training covered a range of courses such as public security [police intervention on the public highway, the legal and professional framework for maintaining order and respecting human rights], as well as mechanisms of criminal investigation and the use of science and modern technologies in forensic research.

During the training, the participants conducted field visits to the National Laboratory of Scientific and Technical Police.

The training program, supervised by the Moroccan National Security Directorate (DGSN), is part of Morocco’s South-South cooperation policy in the area of security.
