Senegal, Türkiye ink event-driven diplomacy MoU
Senegal and Turkey signed an event-driven diplomacy Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote events between the two countries.
Aïssata Tall Sall, top diplomat of the African country inked the deal with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on the sidelines of Dakar International Forum on Peace and Security in Africa held on October 24-25.
Per the deal, both sides pledged to promote the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, held annually in Türkiye, and the Dakar International Forum.
“The agreement will allow the organizers of these two forums to work together for an exchange of good practices,” said Aïssata Tall Sall.
“After the diplomacy of the people, after the economic diplomacy, we are now in the diplomacy of the event,” she added.
“Event-driven diplomacy is key to meeting the challenges of peace and justice in a world that is going through difficult times,” Çavuşoğlu noted.
