Moroccan Navy coastguards rescue 182 migrants this week
Morocco’s Royal Navy coastguards rescued this week 182 candidates to irregular migration, including women and children, mostly coming from sub-Saharan Africa.
The rescue operations conducted between October 10 and 12 enabled to save the would-be illegal migrants, who attempted the perilous crossings aboard makeshift boats, kayaks, jet-skis, surfboards and even swimming.
The rescued persons received first aid on board the Royal Navy Units before they were brought back safe and sound to the nearest ports of the Kingdom and then handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie for the usual administrative procedures.
