EU to support Tunisia’s agriculture sector with over €180m
The European Union will provide Tunisia with more than €180 million to support small farmers and fishermen in the North African country, Webdo Tunis reports.
Jean-Pierre Sacaze, head of the social inclusion and sustainable development department within the EU mission in the country, made the announcement.
The support made of donation and credit will go into “Adapt” program designed by the EU to support small farming and fishery activities and Tunisian organizations over a period of five years.
The beneficiaries of the program will carry out sustainable development projects using natural and energy-friendly resources, Sacaze said.
