OCP Africa helps Côte d’Ivoire bolster rice production
OCP Africa, a subsidiary of the Moroccan OCP Group, will supply Côte d’Ivoire with customized fertilizers to help this African country boost its rice production.
A cooperation agreement was inked on Friday in Abidjan between the two sides. The deal sealed with OCP will enable the government of Côte d’Ivoire to speed up the implementation of its national strategy set for the development of rice cultivation. The goal is to reach self-sufficiency by 2025 before becoming one of the largest African exporters by 2030.
In order to fulfill this target, Abidjan has partnered with OCP Africa.
