Palestinian FM Commends Moroccan King’s Role in Protecting Al-Quds
Palestinian Foreign minister Riyad al-Maliki commended, on Wednesday in Brussels, the pivotal role played by King Mohammed VI, in his capacity as Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, in protecting the holy city and supporting the resistance of its inhabitants.
Maliki made the remarks in a statement to MAP on the sidelines of his participation in a meeting of the European Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee.
Maliki underlined the King’s unwavering support for Jerusalem and for the Palestinian question, noting that Morocco has always stood by the Palestinian people and their cause.
He added that the ongoing coordination between the Moroccan Monarch and President Mahmoud Abbas is of great importance in order to face the upcoming “challenges”, within the framework of solidarity between Arab and Islamic countries, especially States with regional influence such as Morocco.
