Morocco’s FRMF Welcomes Infantino’s Backpedaling on FIFA Forward Enterprise Project

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has welcomed FIFA President Gianni Infantino’s decision to withdraw the proposal for the FIFA Forward Enterprise project.

The progress made in recent years thanks to FIFA’s development programs, particularly in Africa, represents a valuable achievement to be preserved in the interest of all member associations, the FRMF emphasized in a press release issued Saturday.

In the face of disagreements sparked by the proposed reform, despite its importance, the unity of the greater football family comes first, the FRMF added.

“FRMF President Fouzi Lekjaa commends FIFA President’s wise decision, as it promotes unity and cohesion among FIFA’s member associations through a participatory approach to the pursuit of football’s growth,” the press release noted.

“FRMF President Fouzi Lekjaa reiterates, on this occasion, his support for FIFA President Gianni Infantino for all initiatives seeking to promote world football,” the FRMF emphasized.

World football’s unity is the conviction that drives this great family in all its decision-making, the press release added.
