Morocco’s women national football team defeated its Algerian counterpart 1-0 in a Group A match on the 2nd day of 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, played Thursday evening at Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat.
The sole goal of the fixture was scored by Sanaa Mssoudy (84′), enabling hosts Morocco to strengthen their position in Group A and be in a strong position in the race for the quarter-finals.
In the other match of this group, played earlier, Senegal defeated Kenya 1-0.
Following this victory, Morocco tops the group with 6 points, followed by Algeria and Senegal with 3 points each.
Kenya brings up the rear with no points.
