Morocco & Mauritania to Step up Military Training Cooperation

A delegation from the Royal Military Academy of Meknes paid lately a visit to Mauritania’s Joint Arms Military Academy to explore cooperation prospects in military training.
The Moroccan delegation, led by Commander Mamdouh Al-Mehdi, was composed of third-year officer cadets. They were received by Col. Mohamed El Amine Abdel Moulah, Commander of the Mauritanian Military Academy.
During the visit, which is part of the exchange of experiences between the two academies, the Moroccan officer cadets participated in the daily training activities of the Mauritanian academy, including shooting, operational planning, weapons dismantling, military computing, sports, and tactical field exercises.
They also visited the Mauritanian Academy museum including historical documents, photographs, various weapons and equipment which were used by the Mauritanian army.
The program also included a visit to the commando training barriers in the (Wadi Elij) area, where the Moroccan officer cadets were informed about the training methods in this rugged mountainous region, simulating various battlefield conditions.
