CIA publishes full map of Morocco
The CIA has published a full map of Morocco including the Sahara, while recalling that the US has recognized Morocco’s full sovereignty over the territory under the first term of President Trump in 2020.
This update came as Trump was inaugurated 47th President of the US, making a historical comeback that was met with optimism in Morocco, as far as the Sahara conflict is concerned.
The CIA move should serve as a reminder that the US is poised to push on through with the trilateral deal that included resuming normal ties with Israel and opening a consulate with an economic focus in Dakhla.
As US institutions update Morocco’s map, so did French institutions after the recognition of Paris of Rabat’s territorial integrity and its historic rights over the Sahara.
Both France and the USA are permanent members of the UN Security Council. Their stand is expected to be followed by similar positions by influential countries around the globe as Morocco nears a final close of this over three-decade conflict.
