Spain’s Police capture pro-Polisario extremist planning terror acts against Morocco
A pro-Polisario separatist has been arrested in Spain for inciting and preparing terrorist acts against Moroccan sites and interests. This confirms the link between Algeria-backed Polisario militia and terrorism.
According to Spanish press reports, the woman was nabbed in Menorca, Balearic Islands, where she was living. She is facing charges of glorifying and inciting jihad against Morocco via social media networks.
Spanish investigators found in her Telegram messenger App incriminating chats and messages seeking to acquire terrorist material including explosive vests. She also shared radical videos inciting militants to engage in violent acts against the North African Kingdom, said Diario de Mallorca.
Several international experts have warned against the nexus between separatism and terrorism and especially the alarming ties between Polisario, Iran, and its proxies Hamas and Hezbollah. This raises serious concerns, requiring the designation of the Polisario Front as a terrorist organization and Algeria as a state sponsor of terrorism.
The arrest by the Spanish authorities of Polisario jihadist in Menorca, the recent terrorist attack launched by Polisario thugs against Mahbes and the deadly rocket attacks on Smara launched last year are compelling evidences of the Polisario terrorism supported by Algerian junta, threatening regional stability.
Time has come for accountability and standing against those harboring and funding terrorists. Time has come for the United States, Europe, and the United Nations to act and designate Polisario a terror organization for the sake of regional and global peace.
