SIB 2024: Mauritania, Special Guest of 19th Edition

The 19th edition of the International Building Exhibition (SIB) opened on Wednesday, November 20 at the Mohammed VI Exhibition Center in El Jadida, under the theme “Controlled implementation, valued materials and buildings.” The event, held until November 22, is under the High Patronage of King Mohammed VI and was inaugurated by Minister Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri.

Mauritania is the special guest of this edition, highlighting the strong bilateral ties, particularly in construction. Mauritanian Minister Ngalou Mamoudou Niang emphasized the importance of this partnership, aiming to strengthen exchanges in construction materials and techniques.
This year’s edition brings together over 1,500 brands from 50 countries, showcasing innovations in the construction and public works sectors.
The event features a rich scientific program, with talks by experts, including architect Corinne Vezzoni, focusing on sustainability, materials, and innovative building methods. Additionally, there are specialized spaces like the SIB Academy, Demonstration Space, and B2B Space to foster collaboration. The exhibition also introduces a mobile app for real-time updates, immersive 3D stands, electric vehicle charging stations, and a Start-up Space for emerging Moroccan companies, emphasizing innovation and sustainability in the sector.

The exhibition, spanning over 30,000 m², is organized by the Ministry of National Land & Urban Planning, Housing and Urban Policy, in collaboration with AMDIE, the Federation of Construction Materials Industries, and the National Federation of Building and Public Works.
