Chad seeks resumption of flights, border coordination with Libya
Chad has requested the resumption of flights with Libya, along with enhanced coordination at the land border crossing and the preparation of a MoU (Memorandum of understanding) for cooperation in the transportation sector, according to a statement from Libya’s Ministry of Transportation.
The request was conveyed by the Chad’s Chargé d’Affaires in Tripoli during a meeting with Libya’s Minister of Transportation. During the meeting, the minister emphasized the importance of Libyan-Chadian relations and referenced a proposed strategic road project that would connect northern Libya with its southern region, extending further to Niger and Chad, along with improved coordination at border crossings.
The Chadian Chargé d’Affaires expressed interest in strengthening bilateral ties and proposed a meeting to draft a memorandum covering various transportation-related topics.
