Morocco second largest frozen fish supplier to Russia

Morocco became the second largest supplier of frozen fish to the Russian market with 2200 tons in the first ten months this year, Russian official data showed.

Out of the 10,000 tons of fish imported by Russia, Vietnam came first with 2500 tons.

Russia and Morocco also consider renewing a fisheries deal that allows Russian trawlers to fish in Moroccan waters, including off Sahara.

In 2022, Morocco exported over 800,000 tons of seafood totalling some 2. 7 billion dollars.
