Morocco-UAE security cooperation makes Algerian regime extremely nervous

Morocco and the United Arab Emirates have agreed to step up cooperation ties in security through the exchange of experiences in professional police training, advanced police studies and forensic science enabling law enforcement to deliver efficient & effective service.

The agreement was inked Monday in Abu Dhabi during the working visit Abdellatif Hammouchi, Head of Morocco’s national police & domestic intelligence agency, is paying to the UAE this Sept. 23 to 26.

The agreement seeks to promote the qualification of security personnel and to reinforce their skills, in addition to consolidating joint cooperation in higher studies in police, security and legal sciences.
This cooperation will foster the emergence of a new generation of highly qualified police agents, open to comparative experience and capable of meeting future challenges in the security field in its global sense.

While in Abu Dhabi, Hammouchi conferred separately with several senior Emirati security officials including Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei and Head of the UAE national intelligence Agency Ali Obaid Al Dhaheri.

Talks focused on ways of enhancing further security cooperation to counter current challenges and new security threats on the regional and international scene.

Hammouchi also met with Ahmed Anser Al-Raisi, President of Interpol. They discussed multilateral security cooperation, Morocco’s contribution to international security, global security threats and collective strategies to address these threats.

After these talks, Hammouchi visited several new security infrastructures in UAE, including the Abu Dhabi Police’s “Safe City” which uses artificial intelligence to enhance road safety, reduce traffic violations, and make swift emergency response.
