Two dead, three injured in clashes in Libya’s Al-Khums
The Joint Health Chamber in Al-Khums Municipality has declared a state of emergency following clashes in the city on Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Al-Khums Education Hospital reported receiving the bodies of two individuals who were killed, along with three others who were injured.
Emergency responders from the Ambulance and Emergency Department, as well as Emergency Medicine and Support teams, have been deployed to the area. Residents are advised to avoid the vicinity of the clashes, as stated on the municipality’s Facebook page.
According to the Media Office at Al-Khums Education Hospital, the situation has calmed somewhat. Two of the injured sustained bullet and shrapnel wounds and have been treated and transferred to another hospital. Another individual, who was in critical condition, received emergency treatment with the help of specialists from the surgery and orthopedics departments.
