Palestinian PM expresses gratitude to King Mohammed VI for his sustained support of Palestinian cause
Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa expressed on Monday in Ramallah his thanks and gratitude to the Kingdom of Morocco and King Mohammed VI for their “sustained efforts in favor of the Palestinian cause.”
During a meeting in the Holy City with Ismail Ramli, the coordinator of programs and projects for Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ), the Palestinian Prime Minister emphasized “the importance of the Agency’s presence in Al-Quds and his full support for its work.”
During the meeting, which was attended by the Minister of Al-Quds Affairs, Ashraf Al Awar, The Prime Minister discussed the delicate situation currently facing the Palestinian cause, while calling for “intensified Arab and international efforts to support the Palestinian people.”
For his part, Ramli informed the Palestinian Prime Minister of the progress made by BMAQ in Al-Quds, under the personal and direct supervision of King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, over the past quarter of a century.
The Agency has actually provided substantial support to vital sectors such as education, health, culture, and social assistance, with particular attention given to programs and projects aimed at the youth, women, and children of the Holy City.
In this connection, Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency is organizing this August a Summer School Program, benefitting over 4,000 children from the Al-Quds.
Sponsored by the Agency’s “Children’s Club for Al-Quds”, with funding from the Moroccan Cultural Centre Association, this program is an opportunity for the children to benefit from entertaining and educational activities in a friendly and joyful setting.
Operating under the personal supervision of King Mohammed VI, the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency launched this program despite the difficult circumstances facing the Holy City in particular and Palestine in general, thus reaffirming its firm determination to support the Al-Quds inhabitants through its various initiatives.
Held under the banner “To enshrine the values of unity and solidarity”, the program intends to enable beneficiary establishments to offer children a safe and welcoming environment, focused on support, counselling and appropriate educational activities, to help them overcome the difficult circumstances facing Al-Quds and Palestine, through 150 art, drama, and games workshops.
In addition, the summer school program includes a number of first aid courses run by qualified trainers. It also features training in best practice in safety and security, both at home and at school, particularly in emergency situations.
This year’s program is spread throughout the neighborhoods of Al-Quds and the areas outside the wall, where four camps dedicated to the history of the displaced villages have been set up, alongside another camp for architecture students, whose activities focus on the preparation of architectural designs for certain facilities in the stricken Gaza Strip.
In this context, several Palestinian personalities commended King Mohammed VI’s support, praising the role of Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency in defending the Holy City and its inhabitants, particularly children.
