Morocco reiterates willingness to upgrade its strategic partnership with EU

Morocco has reiterated its willingness to upgrade its strategic partnership with the European Union within the framework of a renewed and more ambitious dynamic, based on loyal partnership, common interest, and mutual respect.

This came in a message that King Mohammed VI addressed to Ursula Von Der Leyen congratulating her on her election as President of the European Commission (EC) for a new term.

The King reiterated in his message the full willingness of the Kingdom of Morocco to elevate these relations to their full potential, within the framework of a renewed and more ambitious dynamic, based on loyal partnership, common interest, and mutual respect.

The Sovereign who expressed to Ursula Von Der Leyen his warmest congratulations and wishes for success in her noble mission, said “this renewed confidence in you is a tribute to your leadership, as well as a testament to the credit given to your vision and action.” The King also emphasized that relations between Morocco and the European Union are marked by a strategic partnership.
