Brazil supports Morocco’s serious & credible efforts to resolve Sahara issue within framework of autonomy initiative
The government of Brazil has praised Morocco’s serious and credible efforts engaged for the settlement of the Sahara issue within the framework of the autonomy plan presented by Rabat in 2007.
This supportive stand comes in a joint statement released in Rabat following the talks held Friday between Brazil’s foreign minister Mauro Vieira and Moroccan peer Nasser Bourita.
Brazil, which chaired the UN Security Council in October 2023, supports the UN-led efforts made to find a political and mutually acceptable solution to the Sahara regional conflict in accordance with UN resolutions.
To strengthen further tourism and trading with this Latin American country, Moroccan national airline company, Royal Air Maroc will re-launch Casablanca-Sao Paulo flights next December.
Morocco and Brazil are building a mutually beneficial strategic partnership.
