Morocco seizes 18.2 tons of cannabis resin
The Moroccan police seized 18.243 tons of cannabis resin and arrested five people as they were unloading the banned substance into rapid dinghies on the coast of Sidi Rehal, near Casablanca.
Investigations have been opened into connections of the gang with local and international trafficking networks, the police said in a statement.
In July, Morocco seized 10 tons of cannabis and in June 2023 it seized 19 tons as Morocco’s security services intensify crackdown on trafficking networks.
