Morocco’s FAR units assist 122 Sub-Saharan would-be immigrants off Dakhla

Units of the Royal Armed Forces in charge of coastal surveillance intercepted, on Sunday about 190 km south of the town of Dakhla, a beached pirogue with 122 sub-Saharan would-be immigrants on board, including a corpse and a minor, according to a statement by the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces.

The would-be immigrants, who were planning to reach the Canary Islands, were given the necessary care before being handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie for the usual administrative procedures.
